Being the rebel that I am (that is neither confirmed nor denied), I revel in switching up foods that are designated for specific meals. Such as eating breakfast for dinner, or in this case, having fried chicken for breakfast.
A plump, juicy and well-seasoned chicken thigh is fried to order before settling in a warm, fluffy bun with a slew of peppery greens and a healthy drizzle of buttermilk dressing. The only thing that makes it acceptable as a breakfast food is the addition of a sunny side up egg—without it, it’s lunch.
Though nearly an impossible task due to the sheer volume of the sandwich, try to get a bite of everything together for the perfect marriage of temperature and texture. For those not blessed with a detachable jaw, ask for a fork and knife—it’ll make life easier, I promise!
If you’re in the mood for some extra indulgence, grab a bag of their chicharrones. It may not look like much, but it’s swoon-worthy. Think fluffy, pork clouds. I’m relived I don’t live in San Francisco because if I do, I would OD on this substance as it’s that addicting.
